Addison, TX — June 26th, 2026 — AQRD, a leader in aircraft repair design and certification support, announced the expansion of its engineering organization to more than 30 engineers. This planned growth strengthens AQRD’s capabilities across aircraft structures, systems, and certification, and enhances support for corporate and commercial operators, MROs, and OEM partners worldwide.“
Our customers operate on tight schedules and tighter margins. Expanding our team ensures we deliver certification-ready solutions faster, with the rigor required to keep fleets safe, compliant, and earning,” said Raj Narayanan, Chief Engineer at AQRD. “We have built a trusted group that designs thousands of repairs each year, develops novel composite allowables and repair processes when data is scarce, and works side by side with the FAA on complex projects. Our goal is simple: safely get your jet back in the air, faster.”
AQRD’s engineering staff includes FAA Designated Engineering Representatives in structures, electrical, systems, materials, and processes. Collectively, the team brings more than 500 years of repair design experience across primary and secondary structures. AQRD engineers have supported programs with NASA, DARPA, and the United States Air Force, and have contributed to materials development efforts with major national laboratories. These backgrounds now inform commercial aviation solutions that move quickly from concept to approved data.
AQRD provides 24/7 AOG engineering support to reduce downtime and protect revenue. The team delivers major repair and alteration development support and leads repair design for fatigue and damage tolerance structures. The company has extensive certification experience across STC, PMA, and TC level projects and is recognized for effective coordination with the FAA on efforts that require rigorous substantiation.
Working in alignment with OEM data and approvals, the company’s engineers create tailored repair solutions and, where suitable, certified alternatives to full part replacement to keep aircraft in service. AQRD designs repairs and alterations across Textron, Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Embraer fleets, with proven results supporting the largest Part 135 operators in the world.
AQRD also addresses fleet sustainment challenges by developing replacement part solutions when supply chains offer no path forward or when vendors have ceased production. The team solves expanding parts obsolescence issues and delivers aging aircraft repair designs and life extension programs that keep mature aircraft flying safely and economically.“
Expanding beyond 30 engineers allows us to scale our responsiveness without compromising technical depth,” added Raj Narayanan. “From urgent on-wing troubleshooting to complex composite analysis and damage tolerance substantiation, our customers can expect faster recovery, reduced loss of use, and approved data that stands up to the most demanding oversight.”
